guarantee terms
The 10x guarantee,
in full.
The short version is on the pricing page: if the Foundation Report doesn't identify at least $24,970 in tax-savings opportunities — ten times its $2,497 price — you get your money back. This page is the long version, because a guarantee you have to interpret isn't one.
What this guarantee is. A refund of the report fee. It is not a promise that you will save $24,970, or any amount. What you actually save depends on which strategies you implement and whether you remain eligible for them — neither of which is within our control, and a firm that promises otherwise is telling you something it cannot know.
What counts as an identified opportunity
All five of these, together. A line in the report that misses any one of them does not count toward the $24,970, even though it may still be worth reading.
- Named. A specific strategy — an S-corp election, a cash-balance plan, an accountable-plan reimbursement — not a category like "entity optimization."
- Available to you. You are eligible for it on the facts you gave us. A strategy that requires a circumstance you don't have is excluded, however valuable it would be to someone else.
- Quantified in your numbers. The figure is computed from your return and your facts, not a published average.
- Actionable, with a date. The report names what has to happen and by when.
- Counted once. A strategy that recurs annually is counted at one year's value. We do not multiply a single idea across a decade to clear the threshold.
What does not count
- Strategies you are not eligible for. The most important exclusion, and the one that makes the rest of this honest.
- Things you already do. If your prior preparer already made the election, it is confirmation, not a finding.
- Gross amounts deferred. Deferral has real value and we count it — but we count the value of the deferral, not the whole sum moved to a later year. Counting the gross is the easiest way to inflate a number like this, so we don't.
- Positions we would not sign. We do not count a saving we would be unwilling to put our own PTIN behind. Under Circular 230 §10.37 we may not write advice resting on unreasonable assumptions, or on the chance that a return goes unexamined — and a threshold to clear is exactly the pressure that rule exists to resist.
The horizon
Opportunities are measured over the current tax year and the one following it. Two years is long enough to include a strategy whose window has already closed for this year, and short enough that the number stays a real forecast rather than a projection into circumstances nobody can see.
Who decides
Linda Weathers, EA, in the first instance — she writes the report and she stands behind the count.
If you disagree with it, say so in writing within the refund window below. The disputed report goes to an independent Enrolled Agent or CPA who has no relationship with this firm, and their read is final. We pay for that review, whichever way it goes. A guarantee adjudicated only by the party who owes the refund is not much of a guarantee.
The refund window
- Request it
- In writing, within 30 days of the date we deliver the report.
- We respond
- Within 10 business days — either the refund, or the count with our reasoning, which is what a dispute would go to independent review on.
- You get
- The full $2,497, by the method you paid. No partial refunds and nothing prorated.
- You keep
- The report. We are not going to ask for it back, and there is no clause here that says you may not act on it.
Fee terms
The $2,497 is flat and fixed, quoted in writing before any work begins. As an Enrolled Agent, Linda is bound by Circular 230 §10.30(a)(1), which requires that a published fee be honoured for at least 30 days after it is published — so the price on this site is the price for at least that long, regardless of what changes afterwards.
